Hmmm

Just read an interesting little article. Stefan Fredrick Cook, a major in the U.S. Army reserve, asked for (and recieved!) a revocation of his deployment orders to Afganistan. His reason? President Obama isn't the legal president, because he wasen't born in the U.S. Now, his request isn't nearly so suprising to me as the fact that HE GOT IT!! Obama's status as a "natural born citzen" as been in question, pretty much from day one, since he would be uneligable if he was not. Now, instead of upholding their orders, the government has, one one hand, admitted the possiblity, and on the other, continued to support Obama.

Doublespeak, anyone?

  1. This is a sensitive subject for me. I didn't get to vote this year, but I think I would have voted for him. He is such a great speaker and sounded like he wanted to do what I think we should have done (get out of Iraq and into Afganistan). But the very first thing the man did with his power-the VERY first thing- was shut down Guantano Bay. I didn't really even disagree with that but he didn't just shut it down- he let the people go.
yes, we kept them prisoner without solid PROOF that they planned september 11th, but we KNEW they did it. And so Obama let them go, the first thing he did! The very next day, they sent us one of those taunting videos, basically telling us we are right back where we started and they're back home with alkida. Why would he have done that? I really didn't understand, and howcome nobody was as outraged as I was?
Heck no I don't think they guy is american born, and I've even almost questioned if he's a terrorist after all that. Then there's swine flu that all of a sudden breaks out across the country. That really kinda freaks me out.
I LOVE my country and I beleive in what it was founded for, but I'm not so confident in our government now and I fear it's only going to get worse....
